NOW is the time to set up your blogger blog domain. Yeah, we are newbie and beginner here. But to make web or blog I hope you do not. Think it is quick and easy. For those of you who are curious, we’re using Blogger because Google generally tends to favor them since they own Blogger.com over other blog services.
That means there’s a better chance to get ranked well in the search engine for your primary keyword. That’s our logic and very reasonable.
Go ahead and start getting setup at Blogger by creating your account. Once you’re able to name and create your blog, come back and we’ll explain a bit more.
Back? Okay. Let’s explain this a bit more. Your primary keyword is the general category which your product falls under. For instance, you found the primary keyword was “internet voicemail” since all of our long tail keywords were found under that keyword.
If you take long tail keywords from several “primary” keywords, just pick the most logical one. Any of them will work. So how do we attempt to get ranked well for our primary keyword? That’s simple – we name our blog the primary keyword…
Ideally, using the internet voicemail primary keyword as an example, our blogger address to be:
http://[yourprimarykeyword].blogspot.com
[yourprimarykeyword], change with you primary keyword, no dash
It’s highly unlikely that it will be available. We will add in some special spice into the title. Try adding these variations until you find one that works. For example with these words: Secrets, Review, Notes, Center, Central, Truth, Article, Investigation and others. You know that
Of course, there’s lots of others. That’s just a quick list. So, you might try for a blog name like:
http://[yourprimarykeyword]secret.blogspot.com
http://[yourprimarykeyword]central.blogspot.com
http://[yourprimarykeyword]truth.blogspot.com
Why I said do not use dash (-) sign? Maybe you know rumor says that Google has recently changed their algorithms to penalize websites that have dashes in their domain name, so you might consider not using dashes. So, for example…
http://blablabla- blablabla – blablabla.blogspot.com
Several websites we have that have dashes in the domain name still rank well, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
The next. Now, if that was your blog name, the blog title would be “Internet Voicemail Secrets.” No big deal there. You can pick any layout you want. It really does not matter or have any noticeable effect on your ranking. You will want to remove the links from your new blog in the sidebar. Remove all except one, which uses your affiliate link to link off to your Commission Junction product. To get rid of the links, click the “Template” tab and then “edit.”
You’ll want to go through and clean it up so it’s ridiculously simple and has no links to anything except your Commission Junction product. This shouldn’t take more than a minute or two to clean it all up.
If you haven’t guessed yet, it’s only going to have one post. This is a sales copy for your Commission Junction product.
